Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions pertaining to Northside Baptist Church:
Do you have contemporary or traditional worship?
We believe that God can and does utilize all styles of music for His Glory. We also recognize that persons with varying tastes and backgrounds worship with us. Thus we utilize all styles of music in our worship services. Each of our three Sunday morning worship services are different in style, 8:30 is traditional in style, 9:45 is contemporary in style and 11:00 is blended in style. Sunday evening worship services tend to be more contemporary in character, using a praise team and praise band.
What should I wear?
The Sunday morning dress style is something that ranges from one’s Sunday best to casual and comfortable dress. Sunday evenings and Wednesday evenings are always casual. Don’t worry about what you will wear when you come, just come!
When should I arrive?
We have two Sunday School and three worship hours. For those early morning folks, our first Worship hour begins at 8:30 a.m. with a 9:45 Sunday School to follow. Also a 9:45 a.m. worship hour with an 11:00 Sunday School to follow. Also, the Sunday School begins at 9:45 a.m. and the 11:00 a.m. worship hour follows. As a general rule, it is always a good idea to arrive a few minutes early so we can greet you and get you where you need to be.
Where should I park?
We have over 200 parking spaces on our campus. That is usually enough for most Sundays but if you cannot find a space, we have auxiliary parking at several doctors offices around the campus. The east side parking lot closest to the sanctuary is specially reserved for guests.
Where would my children go?
We have a Sunday School class for every age group. From a nursery area to preschool, children, youth, college-aged, singles and all adult ages, we a have a Sunday School class for everyone. During the worship hours, we encourage parents of infants and preschoolers to take advantage of the extended care available. For children ages four through fifth grade, our children’s pastor provides a relevant, age-appropriate worship experience. If you have questions about children or preschoolers, feel free to email your questions to nbc@nbcvaldosta.org or contact Ken Hipsley, our minister to preschoolers and children at kenhipsley@nbcvaldosta.org.
