SPOTLIGHT ON MISSIONS

West Africa Summit

The Rocky Creek Baptist Church in Greenville, South Carolina, recently hosted a West Africa Summit, focusing on the needs of the countries in that particular area of Africa. This is the area in which Clint & Harriet Bowman continue to serve with the SBC International Mission Board.  Five (5) individuals from our congregation represented Northside at this three (3) day  summit. The purpose for Northside’s participation was because of our interest in the unreached people groups in West Africa, particularly those in the country of Nigeria. While there at the summit they were able to spend some time with Harriet Bowman who conducted one of the workshops. A survey team of six (6) individuals will be traveling to Nigeria, West Africa, in the fall of this year. They will be preceded by a couple from our congregation who will be going to the same location, for the same purpose, in late summer.  You will be hearing more about this very challenging global outreach in the weeks and months ahead. You will have an opportunity to have a vital part in this outreach.
