How to Become a
Member of NBC |
As described in the New
Testament, the local church is made up of a body of baptized believers. We
ask every prospective member two questions:
· Do you have a personal relationship with Christ?
· Have you been scripturally baptized since you accepted Christ?
Your desire to be a part of this church’s membership may be expressed by
presenting yourself during the period of invitation at the close of any
worship service in the following ways:
BY PROFESSION OF FAITH AND BAPTISM: By receiving Jesus as your personal Lord
and Savior and following
Him in believer’s baptism by
immersion, or
BY PROMISE OF LETTER: By transfer of your membership from another Southern
Baptist church, or
BY STATEMENT: When records from a previous Southern Baptist church are not
available for transfer, or if you come from another church of essentially
like faith and order and have been baptized scripturally, we will happily
receive you upon your statement of these facts. |
